Acceptable Use Policy

What an ElevateBox AI phone employee may and may not be used for.

1. Why this policy exists

Your AI employee calls real people on your behalf. This policy sets out what that may and may not be used for. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and it applies to everyone using an ElevateBox account, including anyone you give access to.

2. Only call people who expect to hear from you

  • Call only people who have given you consent to be contacted, or with whom you have an existing relationship that lawfully allows the call — for example, someone who filled in your enquiry form.
  • Don’t upload bought, scraped or rented lists of numbers, and don’t use ElevateBox for unsolicited telemarketing.
  • Respect India’s calling rules, including the National Customer Preference Register (DND), and keep to reasonable calling hours.
  • When someone asks not to be called again, stop. Keep them on your do-not-call list and don’t remove them to call again.

ElevateBox checks your do-not-call list, recorded consent and calling-hour limits before each call, but these checks only work with accurate information — keeping it accurate is your responsibility.

3. Be honest on the call

  • Your AI employee must say it is an AI assistant if the person asks, and must not claim to be a human.
  • It must say which business it is calling for, and must not impersonate another person, business, government body, bank or official.
  • Don’t use it to mislead people about prices, offers, products or what happens next, or to pressure them with false urgency or threats.
  • Tell callers when a call is being recorded where the law requires it.

4. Things you can’t use ElevateBox for

  • Harassing, threatening, abusing or repeatedly calling anyone.
  • Fraud, scams, phishing, or collecting passwords, OTPs, card or bank details.
  • Debt collection that uses intimidation, or calls that break any law on how debts may be collected.
  • Calls about illegal goods or services.
  • Content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Emergency services or any situation where a missed or misunderstood call could put someone at risk.
  • Attacking, overloading or probing the Service, or trying to get around its limits and checks.

5. What we do if this policy is broken

We may pause campaigns, stop calls, suspend or close an account, and keep any records needed to investigate, without notice where we think people are being harmed or the law is being broken. Where it is safe to, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

6. Reporting misuse

If you received a call from an ElevateBox AI employee that you didn’t want, or that broke this policy, email support@elevatebox.in with the number that called you and the time of the call. We will look into it and act on it.
